Compatibility of our parts after the iOS 18.0 release.

In the past few weeks, much has been said about the compatibility of parts after the iOS 18 release. We have conducted thorough research ourselves, and below you will find our conclusion.

In the beta version of iOS 18, the status 'LOCKED' was still present, but it has been removed with the release of iOS 18.0. In none of the situations is the system locked; there is only a warning message in 'Finish repair' mode. There are now two messages that can be shown: ‘This is a genuine Apple part’ and ‘This parts is not functioning as expected’.

The qualities (‘Refurb’, ’Pulled’, ‘Best possible’) mentioned in the result below are specific to 2Service/Mobileparts.shop. We cannot guarantee the same results for parts from other suppliers.

Message 1: “This is a genuine Apple part”

  • Display: ‘Refurb’ iCloud unlocked + ‘Pulled’ iCloud unlocked.
  • Battery: ‘Pulled’ iCloud locked and unlocked + ‘Refurb’ iCloud locked and unlocked (both not sold by 2Service).
  • Back camera + wireless charging: ‘Best possible’ iCloud locked and unlocked.

Message 2: “This part is not functioning as expected”
  • Display: ‘Refurb’ iCloud locked + ‘Pulled’ iCloud locked + all our other qualities (‘In-cell’, ‘Compatible’).
  • Battery: ‘Best possible’ iCloud locked and unlocked
  • Back camera + wireless charging: High-copy iCloud locked or unlocked (not sold by 2Service).
The Locked/Unlocked status is related to the iCloud status: FMI on/off. Locked displays come from devices that are still locked to iCloud and are therefore locked via the software, as well as devices that are registered in LOST mode.

In conclusion:
First, there are no system locks. Second, 'Refurb' and 'Pulled' quality displays provide device owners with the assurance of genuine Apple components, making them a must-have for some. Additionally, their contribution to reducing CO2 emissions enhances their appeal. These two benefits make these display qualities even more desirable for the future!

The only remaining issue is related to the front camera and front sensor (including the proximity sensor). These cannot be replaced; otherwise, Face ID will stop working. The solution is to replace the IC through micro-soldering.

Note: We’ve tried to test as much as possible, but we were unable to test all parts on all iPhone models. If you encounter any other results, please contact us at sales@2service.nl so we can update this message. The current message applies to the iOS 18.0 release; later versions may differ.
