Transparency first: Ensuring genuine Samsung Service Packs in the market
In the current market, we are seeing a growing concern: not every supplier offers full transparency about the products they sell. Especially when it comes to Samsung Service Packs (a label that should only apply to 100% original displays), we are increasingly encountering products that are not what they appear to be.
What’s happening?
There are cases where suppliers offer:
- Samsung Service Packs with frame that are in fact pre-assembled units
- Samsung Service Packs with frame that turn out to be pre-assembled with copy frames
- Pre-assembled units that are actually refurbished displays or are pre-assembled with copy frames
Although not all of these products are necessarily of poor quality, the problem lies in the way they are presented and sold. The name “Service Pack” should not be used for the aforementioned variants. The term “Service Pack” should guarantee that a component is 100% original and new, and comes directly from the device manufacturer. The lack of transparency causes confusion and undermines trust—both in individual repair shops and in the industry as a whole.
Our responsibility:
At Mobileparts.shop, we believe transparency is the foundation of trust. As an authorized Samsung partner, we take this issue seriously and are taking clear steps to ensure that every product we deliver is exactly what it is claimed to be.
What actions are we taking?
To protect our customers and the integrity of the repair market, we are implementing the following measures:
- Stricter incoming inspections
We will perform more frequent and detailed checks on incoming deliveries from suppliers (excluding direct Samsung deliveries). - Supplier accountability
If we find that products do not match their official description or documentation, these deliveries will be rejected and returned to the suppliers in question. - Supplier reliability
Suppliers who repeatedly deliver inconsistent or misrepresented goods will no longer be part of our purchasing network.
What can customers expect from us?
Even with the above measures, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that we will catch all incoming stock that does not match the description. So if you ever receive a product from us that does not match its description, you can always return it. Our team will trace the source and take appropriate action with the supplier involved. Your feedback helps us maintain the highest possible standards in the market.
🔍 How to identify potential non-original Samsung Service Packs
While we take every measure to ensure product authenticity, it can still be useful to recognize the key indicators of non-original Service Packs yourself:
- Packaging
Original Service Packs come in sealed white or blue Samsung boxes with clear part numbers, barcodes, and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. markings. - Label and part number
Verify that the part number (GHxx…) matches official Samsung listings. You can check this on Mobileparts.shop. A Service Pack display with frame (not the pre-assembled versions), should have a part number that matches a display with frame. For example, S23 Ultra Black Service Pack needs to have part number GH82-30466A or GH82-30465A. If it has part number GH82-33783A (part number of the display without frame – it is likely a pre-assembled screen). Which is fine if it’s sold as such, but not OK if it’s sold as New Service Pack. - Frame and finish
Copy frames may differ slightly in color, texture, or feel. - Weight
Copy frames usually have a different weight than the original frames - Stamps or markings on the back
Can be a sign of a refurbished display - Glue residue and damage on the back
Can be a sign of a refurbished display
Working together to clean up the market
We believe that ensuring product authenticity is a shared responsibility. By holding ourselves and our suppliers to the highest standards, we aim to lead by example — helping to create a more transparent, trustworthy, and professional repair industry.
